I haven't done this tagging thing for quite some time (mostly because I don't really get tagged anymore), but thanks to The Kimster whose level of acidity seems to get better when he bitches about work, I'll do it. Anyhoo, it's not as banal as some of the other tags I've seen lately and would probably worth half an hour of my life to spend on it (ok ok it's not like I have anything better to do).
THE LINKING TAG: The rules
- List out five favourite links - the links can be of business sites, affiliate links or whatever that suits the blogger.
- Tag five more people to share their links, so hopefully, at the end of the tag, we would be able to share good links with each other.
- The links MUST be clean. No X-rated sites (which basically put my blog out of the running).
- List out only FIVE links.
- You MUST tell FIVE people you choose.
- Provide the link back to the person who tagged you.
- Obviously, it should be an active link.
So folks, the following are the five links I visit regularly:
- The first one would be BBC Weather London for obvious reasons. I now bitch about the weather rather regularly too so I reckon I'm assimilating rather well into the culture here (that and drinking copious amount of Coke at the pub that I could sometimes feel like it's burnt a hole through my insides, Coke can taste rather corrosive after the 3rd pint).
- I visit BBC News for some updates on what's happening in the world. It's even better when I'm feeling down, and reading about those terrible things happening elsewhere makes me feel like I don't really have a problem actually. Not that I rejoice the misfortunes of others, but my troubles could barely compete with what the Burmese people are facing right now. And that makes me feel grateful.
- Like the Kimster, I occasionally go into facebook to check on updates of my mates. Am not acting like my life depends on it, but mainly because I went through that phase with Friendster, which I only visit these days if I receive a message or a comment.
- I also visit shoebox for a good laugh. Such wit and wisdom! Ok the wisdom bit is arguable but you get my drift.
- From shoebox, I'd always click on the icanhascheezburger link because those cats sure make me laugh all the time.
The 5 bloggers who are lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) to be tagged by me would be (drumroll please):
- Shazlin
- 47
- Kish
- Mooke
- Idlan
I'm lazy to further customize the entry from this point forward so I'm just gonna put what The Kimster wrote to end his. Besides, it's funny.
Share this link with five people and you will receive a large fortune in your life in the next two weeks where an elephant will appear at your front door bearing gifts from The Right Honourable Mahmood Dawood IIV, from the family Dawood in northwest Africa who just died, leaving behind a large amount of money which we are trying to disburse. So can you help us and provide your bank account details?
Failure to share this link will (or rather, might) result in Samy Vellu losing his Parliamentary seat in the coming general election (some will argue this is not necessarily a bad thing).
